Botswana Suppliers Giving Back
The inauguration of the new cobra enclosure at the Bio-Diversity Centre in Kasane, took place recently. SGS Africa sponsored and helped construct the new enclosure for 5 snouted cobras. This larger space will give the cobras room to stretch their legs (as it were) and provides the public with better viewing to appreciate and learn more about these often misunderstood creatures. The new enclosure is complete with flowing water pond, plenty of large logs for climbing and cool rocks to hide beneath during the heat of the day. The Bio-Diversity Centre (located in Kasane on the airport road) is run by the NGO CARACAL; which is making huge strides towards community education promoting conservation awareness and sharing the wilderness with local and international visitors alike.
